My all-time friend, the iPod.

iPod classic

First time I saw an iPod, I couldn’t believe I could save that much music into it. I have got mine from Canada as ‘deal of the day’ price from a well known retail store, this means I had a big discount; which also included a free customising carving on the back of it. Consequently, I have got my name printed on it plus a nice 3D drawing of a hummingbird engraved on the metal back.

IPod

Right after I have got it, I started to use it all around. I took it to work, to the library, when shopping or whenever I went out. I was like hypnotised by it! I tried not to use it when going to bed, except I knew that was a lost battle. I end up giving up and listening until I slept myself out. I customised all files, songs and playlists. It was my everyday partner!

Suddenly, as time passed by, somehow this mutual relationship went cold. One day, I stopped using it (I don't really know why!). Today, it is in a box somewhere in the basement. I would love going back to it and play a few tunes and remember my uni days.

  7. Hello teacher, it is amazing how we can be addicted to technology and then leave it as if nothing.
