BLOG 5 - A Meal or Food You Really Enjoy
Hello class! On this occasion, we are talking about meals, food and likes. I believe we all have our favourite meal or that specific food that we really love. I read many years back 'Food is our common ground, a universal experience'..I truly believe on this one.
- What is it? (describe it)
- How is it made?
- Why do you like it so much?
- What memories do you have of it?
- Upload photographs.

_____________________________________________________________A Chilean pastry - Empanadas.
In the UK they called them 'pastry' and add parnish plus lamb; really delicious! In Colombia they add some potatoes and peas…their dough is made out of yellow corn…a delicatessen! In Edinburg I tried an Indian samosa, again they come with lots of peas and curry!
In general, I can really say that empanadas are very a versatile food. You can eat it on the go, at home, taking them for a picnic with friends or simply going to the nearer supermarket and get some…however, I still miss my mum's empanadas, they are the best ever!

I didn't know that the empanadas have so many types of making and different ingredients. I know another food that is similar to empanadas, it's call arepas.
ReplyDeleteI should have included the famous "arepas". The thing is that many cultures have something similar to an empanada stuffed with all types of ingredients.
DeleteI eat as many empanadas as I can on the 18th. I would like to try all types of empanadas.
